Cardiff Bay Festival
The Cardiff Bay Festival takes place throughout July and August which includes lots of events for the whole family to enjoy. The International festival of food and drink takes place at Cardiff Harbour (July 10-12); WOW on the waterfront, featuring the French theatre company Transe Express (July 24-25); a classic car rally along the seafront (August 16); the Cardiff Harbour Nautical Festival, with tall ships, live music and children’s activities; and the Welsh Oyster Opening Championships (August 29-31).

1st npower Ashes Test: England v Australia

Enjoy a day out and watch England’s attempt to win back the Ashes from the Australians after their 5-0 whitewash at the hands of Ricky Ponting’s men in the 2006-2007 series begins at Cardiff’s Swalec stadium from July 8th – July 12th. Ant & Dec’s Takeaway on Tour

Television entertainers, Ant & Dec will bring their ‘Takeaway on Tour to Cardiff during the summer of 2014. The cheeky duo will stage a live version of their popular ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ TV show at Cardiff Motorpoint Arena on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th August, as part of a new UK tour.

The show will feature special guests and amazing prizes giving you the chance to be part of the show.

Cardiff’s Carnival celebrates its 25th birthday

Wales’ biggest and brightest ‘Cardiff Carnival’  will be celebrating its 25th year this summer.

Anniversary celebrations will take place on Saturday 9th August and will be marked with a creative explosion of sequins, glitter and feathers. Cardiff Carnival transforms the city centre with a riot of flamboyant carnival art, music and dance creating the perfect atmosphere for a family day out.
