Natural remedies to whiten your teeth for that summer wedding

Bamboo BlogTips

strawberries

Are you getting married this summer or attending a wedding and want to find natural remedies to whiten your teeth for that summer wedding so your pearls sparkle like jewels in those pictures and videos?

If the answer is yes then here are five ways in which you can achieve that Hollywood smile without spending lots of money.

Use Baking soda

Many people claim that mixing Hydrogen peroxide with baking soda to form a paste works to clean those teeth and gums.A combination of these two provides an effective teeth whitener. You can also make use of hydrogen peroxide alone by brushing your teeth everyday with the powder. However, make sure you mix the paste so its smooth and not gritty otherwise you might brush the enamel away from your teeth.

Brushing after you eat

Yes thats right, by brushing after each snack or meal this will help remove plaque and tea and coffee stains from those yellow looking teeth.

Lemon or orange peels

Rub the peels gently and carefully all over the teeth. If you wish to increase the effect, then you can also add normal table salt and rub it along with the peels. You could try the juice of a fresh lemon or lime and a soft brush as the citric acid in the lemon juice has a bleaching effect. Remember to always rinse with water afterwards.

Apple Cider vinegar

It has been proven that this method does work but you need to be consistent. Be careful when using this method as this can also take the enamel on your teeth. Brush carefully with vinegar and a soft brush, use a non fluoride toothpaste and rinse thoroughly afterwards. This has been proven that this method does work but you will need to wait at least a month and use this method frequently before seeing any results.

Strawberries

Welsh actress, Catherine Zeta -Jones claims that strawberries are also an effective remedy to make your teeth white.

She told Now magazine "If there aren't any apples in the fruit bowl, a strawberry will suffice.

'The juice or pulp of strawberries contains malic acid which serves as an astringent and can lighten surface stains."

By rubbing strawberries on your teeth many people claim that it removes stains and is free of any side effects; however, they take a long time to show their action.

But if the strawberry whitening effect is good enough for the Oscar and BAFDA award winner then its worth a try.
