What Teeth Veneers Can Do For You

Many people who are in search of revamping their smile are searching because of a lack of confidence in their current smile. The psychological effect that a crooked smile can have is huge. The smile is the first thing that is noticed when meeting a new person. Imagine feeling the need to hide your smile due to this. There is a lack of connection when meeting new people and a difficulty to bond in the long term. Many people even avoid social interaction altogether so that they don't have to go through the ordeal of worrying about what others will think of their smile.

A New Smile

Imagine a world where all of this can turn around. You are able to greet people with confidence. You are able to connect with people, able to make new friends, able to live life with the freedom that you should be able to. All of this is possible with a simple treatment of teeth veneers. After an initial consult with our award winning dentist you will get to discuss the dream smile you have been imagining. Then we can make that become a reality.

Teeth Veneers: A Simple Solution

After deciding on going for the treatment you will be able to choose exactly how your new smile will look. The degree of detail that can be taken into the fabrication of veneers is truly remarkable. Even small lines and indents can be added to the teeth to ensure that they look as realistic as possible. In fact, unless you knew that they were veneers you would just think that the happy smile was just a result of extremely lucky genetics.

Giselle's Story

Giselle never had perfect genetics when it came to her teeth. Even so, her family used to say she had a cute smile when she was very young. This was because she still felt free and had no insecurity about how she smiled and this shone through. However, as she started high school and began looking at others teeth she started to become more inhibited. She felt insecure and this sapped her confidence. Giselle hated having photographs taken. She would practice different smiles in the mirror that would allow her to hide her teeth. She would use this smile in photographs assuming she could not avoid having them taken altogether. Giselle suffered with this cloud above her head until her mid twenties when she put her foot down and said 'enough is enough!'. She started searching for options. A consideration was put forward for the Six Month Smile brace but when she came across veneers she felt that this was the perfect solution for her.

How Did Giselle's Life Change?

Giselle hadn't realised the feeling of complete freedom until that moment she looked in the mirror and saw those perfect teeth smiling back at her. The continuous hum of low self esteem had been plucked out from her mind and replaced with a beaming sense of pride. Her life had been changed.

The Advantages of Teeth Veneers

There are so many advantages of teeth veneers that we hear our patients expressing to us every day. Many of those are related to the psychological gains that have been achieved and the new lease of life given to the patients.

1. They provide a natural looking tooth

The veneers is designed with small etches and contours just like any regular tooth, that is if you want it designed that way. This means that the tooth can look completely natural! If you, on the other hand would like to go for that Hollywood look then a more porcelain, shiny style is optional.

2. Porcelain is very well tolerated by gum tissue

The material used in most veneers is porcelain. The great thing about this is that it is very well tolerated by the gums. You'll have little to no resistance and inflammation from them where as other solutions can cause your gums to be reactive.

3. Thin veneers don't require as much shaping as some alternatives

Some options such as crowns can require some shaving down of the tooth. However, veneers have evolved into very intricate designs that can now be incredibly thin. By making them so thin we are able to fit them to your teeth with as little adjustments made to your original teeth as possible. The amount of work needed to be done to your original teeth will depend though on the current situation of your teeth and the level of crowding that you currently have.

4. Increased confidence

One of the biggest advantages of teeth veneers is the dramatic increase in confidence that is able to be achieved. You can walk into the dental clinic lacking the ability to even smile authentically and walk out a few hours later with the brightest most genuine smile beaming from cheek to cheek. This will have a snowball effect in your family life, your social life and your work life.

5. Fast treatment times

Unlike treatments such as teeth straightening, teeth veneers can be fitted fairly quickly. So if you are not keen to wait for 6-12 months for your teeth to be naturally straightened then perhaps the veneers treatment is for you. With veneers you can have your smile in just two easy visits!
