June Events in Cardiff
With June and the summer months approaching, there’s a wealth of events going on in Cardiff. We like to get you smiling in more ways than one so we’ve selected a few of the most exciting events coming up and have a brief outline of what to expect from each.
The Beach Boys
A great way of starting the summer feeling. For one night only, the Beach Boys hit Cardiff as part of their UK tour. It’s at the Motorpoint Arena on the 4th June, with prices from £44. ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’?
Jaws at the Outdoor Waterfront Cinema
Held in Cardiff Bay, the 1975 classic film is brought to life on the big screen once more. You’ll appreciate the views across Cardiff Bay. Very different from a regular cinema trip, this one comes complete with an outdoor setting, hot food, a licensed bar and music to enjoy as the sun sets. Tickets are just £13.
This production has won many awards and it’s at the Millennium Centre from the 16th-27th June. The musical features many of Whitney Houston’s greatest hits and is based on the famous film. You may recognise the leading lady – the X Factor’s Alexandra Burke. Tickets start from £17.50.
Classic FM Live
Another of the Millenium Centre’s offerings, you could round off June with a night of classical music. The Classic FM producer John Suchet hosts and performances include the famous pianist Gabriela Montero. The orchestra of Welsh National Opera will be accompanying. Tickets start at £25.
Wishing you a wonderful June from all of us at Bamboo!
